We left yesterday and already miss "our" little cabin and the beautiful lake! The cabin was super clean, we have some food issues and a serious food allergy, so even though they provide kitchen utensils and pots and pans, we brought our own, we always do when we travel, and I have to say the things stocked in their kitchen were cleaner than any I have seen in little cabins like this, I even used one of their knives, which I almost never do! So very clean. We were there on a very quite week, we almost had the whole grounds to ourselves, but the people we did interact with were very nice and it was a great environment, we had the fire pit to ourselves 2 nights in a row. We loved the dock and the swimming, only down side is for light sleepers, the cars do make quite a bit of noise when driving by, that has nothing to do with the owners, just something to keep in mind, I might bring a white noise machine if I knew. We do plan to visit again, we loved it, a little slice of heaven!
Very friendly owners who were so easy to work with. The cabins are well kept with many updates but tastefully old as well. It was our first stay but we're already planning a visit next month. I'm spent lots of time in the NEK and must say this place holds true to all it's people. Such a friendly welcoming place, hope I too can call it home one day! See you folks again soon
As someone who visited from Philadelphia, it was a pleasant get away. The cabin was equipped with everything someone needed if they'd like to just stay in but a 30 foot walk puts you on a private beach with row boats, plenty of activities for kids, beach chairs and a fire pit. During the day, you could play volleyball or take a 5 minute drive into the heart of Barton, VT. Everyone was very welcoming and warm-hearted. I ended up playing Scrabble and having drinks with one of the families staying at a cabin. The woman who owns/runs Lakeview Cabins seems to love her cabins and takes pride in keeping them nice, clean and organized. It's very nice to get away from the city and stale hotels to have a pleasant stay and retreat in a cabin that felt like a home with a beautiful view from the porch. I highly recommend staying there if you are visiting Vermont as it's not a far drive from any main points in Vermont.
We stayed two days at this beautiful place and plan on staying again as the owners are very gracious hosts! We were are ABSOLUTELY pleased with our stay and can't wait for our Fall vacation to stay here again! A huge thank you to Jane and Linda for the wonderful and, might I add, very clean and well-kept cabin! Don and Nancy
I spend every summer at Lakeview Cabins and have NEVER had a bad experience. The owner is one of the sweetest, most accommodating business owners I have met. The cabins are very quaint and comfortable. Each cabin has a full service kitchen and an outdoor grill which is a great commodity. The lake itself is crystal clear and owns up to its name. The fishing is excellent and the grounds and beaches are very well maintained. There are tons of comfortable beach chairs and loungers if you are in the mood to just relax and read a book or catch some rays. For the price you can not get a better deal. Highly recommended!
